» RANK: Medicine Cat
» MENTOR/APPRENTICE: N/A

» PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Dapplesong is a light grey she-cat, her pelt so light that it almost seems like white. Her pelt seems to shine silver in the moonlight, as her short-haired fur seems to fit in perfectly with her lean form. Dapplesong's eyes are a deep blue color, the shade that look like small puddles of rainwater in the clear night sky. It is said that Dapplesong shows no emotion, but her eyes betray her feelings most of the time. They are deep pools of blue that seem to draw other cats in.
» PERSONALITY:
Dapplesong is known as an emotionless cat. Hardly ever showing her emotions to the outside world, Dapplesong seems to be lost in a world all her own mostly all of the time. When it comes to her duty as medicine cat, though, there is nothing else that Dappplesong is most devoted to. She may daydream most of the time, but it doesn't ever stop her from becoming the best medicine cat that she can become. It is known that something happened to her in the past to make her become the way she is today.
Dapplesong, as emotionless as she may be, has mostly a calm outlook on everything. She doesn't flinch at the sight of wounds, and she doesn't grieve for too long over a fallen clanmate. "It's the price to pay for defending your clan", is one of her most favorable quotes, and she has never gone back on it. Dapplesong states that she would protect her clan with her life as well if the time ever came, and she would be prepared to give up her life for her clan's safety as well.
» HISTORY:
Dapplesong was born on a cold day in Leaf-Bare, in the warmth of a den that wasn't the best place to be at. Dapplesong had no siblings, which, according to the medicine cat at that time, was a good omen for the things yet to come. When Dapplesong, named dapplekit back then, was born, she was a sickly kit, very weak and vulnerable. Fortunately for her, since her mother only had one kit to take care of, Dapplekit managed to survive through the worst of Leafbare.
A few moons passed, and Dapplekit grew up wanting nothing more than to become the best warrior that she could possibly be. The she-cat was mentored by an elderly she-cat, one that was thinking of joining the elders after she mentored Dapplepaw. Despite this let-down, Dapplepaw continued to train hard, and became a good apprentice, earning the elderly she-cat's respect after many moons of training and lessons.
Unfortunately for Dapplepaw, she never got to finish her training. One day, the cats of Thunderclan were attacked by rogues, and Dapplepaw and her mentor were caught in the middle of it. The battle raged on for many days and nights, in which Dapplepaw was sure that there would be many casualties, but thanks to her training and small size, she was able to survive. Just barely. Her mother and mentor were not so lucky. At the end of the battle, a horror struck Dapplepaw found her mother and mentor, both dead, lying among the bodies of the fallen Thunderclan warriors.
When they got back to camp, and Dapplepaw held her vigil for both her mentor and mother, she made a decision that she wouldn't be a warrior after all. The fight had changed her feelings towards being a warrior, and it was on that day that she decided that she wanted to heal instead of hurt. The leader agreed, seeing as her current mentor was already dead, and she was trained by the current medicine cat. Moons later, her mentor retired to the elder's den, and Dapplesong became the sold medicine cat of the clan. She hopes to become as good as her mentor was one day, and make her mother and mentor in Starclan proud.

» ROLE-PLAY EXAMPLE:
It was raining.
Large, wet drops of rain that pounded endlessly against the earth, coating the soil with water, and making it almost impossible to put one paw in front of the other. The rain was blinding, almost freezing cold, a light sheet of water that covered the Thunderclan camp.
Dapplesong stood at the entrance of the medicine cat's den, her eyes cast upwards at the gradually darkening sky. The clouds were settling in, and growing darker as the downpour only worsened as time went on. The more Dapplesong watched, the more her mood dropped, until she was almost at the point of just lying down for the rest of the day, waiting for the rain to end. Either that, or she would busy herself in sorting out the herbs in storage, to take her mind off of such a topic, one that seemed to bring her nothing but pain and sorrow.
In the end, she did neither of those things. Her blue eyes clouded over as Dapplesong continued to stare at the black couds, her mouth moving as she whispered the words that were barely audible in the back of her mind.
"Mother..." She murmured, her eyes scanning the clouds, as if wanting to catch a glimpse of her mother in Starclan. "Is Starclan angry?" It was likely, if they were sending down such a downpour. There was such a thing as too much rain, and that certainly was what was happening now, in the middle of Leaf-Bare.
"If Starclan is angry..." The she-cat's tail quivered at the thought, but she continued. "Send me a sign, mother. Tell me how I can protect my clan."
Her thoughts now spoken, Dapplesong could only wait. Padding over slowly to her nest, the she-cat paused for a moment, casting another forlone glance back at the sky before curling up on the moss, and closing her eyes. She could only hope that Starclan would show her the way.
