» RANK: leader
» MENTOR/APPRENTICE: former mentor named barkpelt, no current apprentice
» MATE: none currently
» KIN: mother named Ashpelt, father named Flamefoot, sister named Cherrypatch
» PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: To start with, Spiderstar is a long limbed black she-cat with green eyes. Her fur is medium length, thick and black. She has a white patch on her chest but that's about it. Her fur is slightly coarse, but well groomed. The patch on her chest is silky and soft. Spiderstar's eyes are bright green and round. They're piercing and fierce when she tries to be strict, though flattery calms them down quickly. An ugly white scar runs from her nose up the left side of her face, crossing her eye and stopping by the base of her ear. She's not fat, but not skinny either. Some find Spiderstar very attractive, but it's a matter of opinion.
» PERSONALITY: Spiderstar's a typical RiverClan cat, through and through. She enjoys being looked up to and respected by others, and doesn't mind being the hero of the moment. Being in charge appeals to her, but pride sometimes clouds her judgement, making her stubborn and difficult to help in tough times. She has a grudge against ThunderClan for its history in taking in kittypets, loners, and rogues, though her annoyance for the forest clan is unjustified- RiverClan have taken in cats too. Spiderstar is intelligent, and a good warrior, though things distract her easily. Annoying her is also very simple- anything giving the impression you don't respect her ticks Spiderstar off.
» HISTORY: Spiderkit was born and raised in RiverClan to a she-cat named Ashpelt and her mate Flamefoot. She had two siblings, but one died at birth. The surviver was Cherrykit, a tortoiseshell, mixing both the colors of her father and mother. Spiderkit, however, took after her mother, who had a gray coat that blackened as she grew. Spiderkit was the more shy of the two, while Cherrykit loved adventure and getting herself into trouble. The two did everything together, despite Spiderkit's desire to stay safe and warm in the den.
The two became apprentices at their six moon mark, like most other kits of their age. Spiderpaw was still very meek, and when she was given a somewhat intimidating mentor, a tom named Barkpelt, her sister had to nudge her forward to touch his nose. Cherrypaw was still very assertive and had no trouble with her ceremony, though she was very excited to begin warrior training. Cherrypaw was upset that her mentor tried to train her in ways other than battle training, such as hunting and swimming. This made her cranky whenever training sessions ended, though Spiderpaw was satisfied with her sessions, and often desired to train more.
When the two were eleven moons old, Cherrypaw was very, very eager to become a warrior, but she worried that she hadn't learned enough battle strategy to become one. She convinced Spiderpaw to sneak out with her in the middle of the night so they could find the training area of their camp- a flat clearing by the stream that parted the camp from the rest of the territory. Cherrypaw really wanted to practice her battling, but Spiderpaw was hesitant as usual. Cherrypaw got annoyed with her sister and, carried away by her want to battle, swiped at her with her claws unsheathed.
Had Cherrypaw's claws not gotten snagged in her sister's face, the scratch would have been harmless- but that's not what happened. Her claws hit Spiderpaw's face and lodged there. Spiderpaw, who had tried to jump back and avoid the blow, tore the wound even deeper- but the claws stayed stuck. Cherrypaw, frustrated, tried to drag the claws out. Finally, they did pull free, but not before leaving Spiderpaw with a bloody gash down the side of her face. The yowling of the two sisters caused some warriors to be woken up, who noticed Spiderpaw's injury and took her to the medicine cat's den. Cherrypaw claimed the whole injury was an accident, and was then returned to the apprentice den.
About one moon after this event had occurred, Cherrypaw became a warrior. Everyone had believed her claim that the event was completely accidental, and she had not been punished. She was given the name Cherrypatch after the ginger patches in her coat, and gladly sat vigil. Meanwhile, Spiderpaw was still an apprentice. Because of the gruesome injury, her training had to be delayed until it fully healed. To her dismay, the wound left an ugly white scar down her black fur. Another moon after Cherrypatch's ceremony, Spiderpaw was able to receive her warrior name- Spiderfoot.
Spiderfoot and Cherrypatch hadn't gotten along well ever since the incident causing the former's scar. Things got ugly when the two were sent on a patrol together, without anyone else accompanying them. An argument broke out as they patrolled near the waterfall by the Horseplace border. It was during this argument that Cherrypatch lost her footing and fell into the rapids, hitting her head and preventing her from swimming. Spiderfoot watched in horror as her sister disappeared below the water. She ran back to camp, explaining what happened, and some got suspicious, knowing of the rivalry between the two.
Approximately a year later, where she was scowled upon by some of the older cats for her sister's death, the current deputy died and Spiderfoot was chosen to replace him. She didn't wonder why she was chosen- the leader at the time was very battle-oriented and Spiderfoot had always been a good battler, plus she was clever and a strong leader. Spiderfoot wasn't deputy for too long. The leader had few lives, and eventually lost them due to sickness, battle, and various other reasons. Spiderfoot accepted the name Spiderstar, and now leads her Clan bravely.

» ROLE-PLAY EXAMPLE: Snow fell from the grey sky onto the black pelt of a she-cat, Spiderstar of RiverClan. She hated how the snow contrasted her pelt, mostly because it made hunting so difficult- but it also made it look like she had a bad case of dandruff when it snowed. This so-called lovely morning, the leader was heading off on a solo patrol to inspect the RiverClan border near ShadowClan. Seeing as that was the only Clan they bordered, patrols were easy. No one ever entered their territory from the Horseplace side.
As she approached the Thunderpath that marked the boundary, a flash of tabby fur in the coniferous forests of ShadowClan brought the leader to raising her hackles. Spiderstar's claws unsheathed and she approached the side of the Thunderpath cautiously, peering through the snow and the edge of the forest to try to get a glimpse at the moving figure. The stench of asphalt and ShadowClan was too great for her to tell whether the figure was cat or prey, though she expected the former.
"Hello?" Spiderstar's voice echoed off the tar coating of the Thunderpath and carried high into the distance. She wondered if the other cat would show itself. It was obviously a ShadowClan cat, if it was so close to the boundaries. She held back a scowl and took a step onto the frozen black material making up the path in front of her. "Who's there?" Her claws clicked threateningly against the asphalt and her green eyes flashed with annoyance.
