Even though his life was cold and dull Northernlights tried to make it better for everyone around him, even though he blamed himself for everything he tried to brighten everyone up with fake happiness and amusement for his life. Nothing brought happiness..Nothing filled the void, nothing made him happy but the brief and rare enjoyment of living on each day. It was what he was grateful for and that alone. In truth Northernlights was one of the dullest and saddest toms to live throughout life.
Everything was a huge game to get through life to him..All of it in fact. You only had one chance to live through it and..Well if you lost that chance there was no going back..You were just..Dead. Gone..Lost. It was a one-shot thing that never lasted, the best thing that could happen was that you died a crummy elder in your sleep..That was the most resonable of deaths. Sighing Northernlights shook the horrible thoughts of his apprentice-ship from his mind.. It had been all of his fault. His mothers death that is. He hadn't been around, knowing she had plotted to kill herself, to watch her and found her drowned to death.
It had been the most horrible sight a son could have witness, especially around the age he had been when it had taken place too. A no count apprentice with the dreams of becoming a faithful warrior. A big shot even.. Boy was he off.

Ya, sure, everyone else had a better life than her. They had family and friends there to comfort them if they get turned down by a tom that they liked, or they were injured in battle... But Fallenshadow... Well, things were different for her now. Ever since mom was dead...
Fallenshadow stopped the thoughts right in their tracks, refusing to think about her mom or anyone else that wasn't here with her anymore. She kept padding through the forest, unsure of where to go and who to talk to. Not that she wanted to talk to anyone, she just was bored and lonely. But she couldn't do anything about it unless someone actually discovered that she was an actual cat, not a heartless one. She let out a small sigh and slowed to a stop, so wrapped up in her thoughts that she hadn't realized she had come so far. She had just planned on walking a circle around the camp and coming back but she had walked a lot farther than that.
Her eyes glowed as she slumped down to the the ground and rested her back against a tree, her gaze fized upwards on the sky above her. She tilted her head to the side slightly as she watched a strangely shaped cloud float by. While she was pondering at this sight, she picked up the scent of another cat nearby. She recognized it but couldn't locate it.. She pricked up her ears, but then decided that she wouldn't even think about it. Not like another cat came here to see her. She was a "traitor" or a "deciever" as she had overheard the cats in the clan calling her. Tears stung at her eyes as she thought about it but she forced them back down without another pondering glance at the memories.
